The best barrels of 2018 were sourced from Donnybrook in the Geographe region of Western Australia. The parcels of fruit were processed with gentle hand plunging in small one tonne open fermenters for eleven days on skins before pressing direct to new oak. The Malbec spent eighteen months in a French oak puncheons before careful blending, gravity fed hand bottling, unfined and unfiltered and hand corked.
An inky black wine, opening with intense aromtic oak derived spice, black fruits and cassis. A fleshy, juicy, dense palate of black cherry is supported by ripe tannins and quality oak ensuring a long finish and exceptional cellaring life.
Only 854 bottles were made "Sshhh, here comes the Bossman"
